Taika Waititi has opened up a can of terms – oops, we mean worms.
The What We Do In The Shadows director, 47, has somewhat exposed his popstar wife Rita Ora, 32, for her misuse of popular sayings.
For example, while the saying goes, ‘Lo and behold,’ to introduce something that’s happened almost inevitably, the Poison hitmaker instead goes with, er: ‘Slow and behold.’
But, always the cheerleader, Taika added that Rita’s, urm, corrections, lead to her saying the ‘coolest things’ – and the best part? She rolls with it.
While explaining how he once might have pretended to know what a big word means, Taika revealed to The Hollywood Reporter he’s now way more relaxed – just like his wife.
‘She left school early to become a fucking massive pop star,’ he told the publication, ‘and as a result says the fucking coolest things. She’s like, “I walk around the corner, and slow and behold, it was right in front of me.”

Slow and behold sounds f***ing better.”‘
We love Taika for this, and the pair do indeed seem to be the dreamiest of Hollywood couples since they married in a secret ceremony last summer.
Over their time together we’ve been inundated with cute red carpet snaps, and they even collaborated on Rita’s recent music video, Praising You, with Taika directing it.
The New Zealand-born director even got a tattoo of an ‘R’ for his wife, but don’t worry, it wasn’t too soppy, as he joked it stood for rugby.
Meanwhile, the Masked Singer star recently revealed how Taika and her ended up deciding to get married.

Poison singer Rita shared this week: ‘Well, honestly, there was no real getting down on one knee.
‘It was more like, “I want to marry you. Let’s just do it.”’
She added to Glamour: ‘I wanted to keep it private because my life and my career aren’t.’
Adding that her and Taika’s wedding was planned in just ‘two or three days’, Rita went on: ‘[The wedding took place] when I was out of cycle, which is what I call it when I’m not in album cycle mode.
‘And [when] his kids were there and I really wanted them to be a part of it. It was either then or we had to wait for ages.
