This Morning has wiped Phillip Schofield and other presenters from its Twitter banner amid turmoil at the ITV daytime show.
The account previously had a picture of Phillip, 61, Holly Willoughby, 42, Dermot O’Leary, 50, and Alison Hammond, 48, at the top of their social media page.
But now the Twitter account has a generic background with gold and turquoise stripes, matching This Morning’s logo.
It comes after Phillip admitted to having an affair with a much younger colleague while he was married to his wife Stephanie Lowe, one week after stepping down from hosting This Morning for over two decades.
The relationship revelation, which Phillip called ‘unwise but not illegal’, happened shortly after a ‘fallout’ with his Dancing On Ice co-star Holly began to circulate, with insiders claiming the pair were ‘barely speaking’ behind the scenes.
After admitting to lying about the romance, Phillip resigned from ITV with immediate effect and was dropped by his agent of 35 years.

In their most recent, ITV confirmed that an investigation into Phillip and an employee was conducted in 2020, and no evidence of a relationship was found ‘beyond hearsay and rumour’.
Holly also said she felt ‘hurt’ after being lied to by Phillip about the affair after he denied it when she asked him ‘directly’ about the real nature of his relationship with the This Morning staffer.

The Wylde Moon founder has been absent from the ITV show after taking an early holiday before the affair was made public, with Alison and Dermot instead taking over the reins.
Dermot opened Monday’s show by vaguely addressing the controversy, saying: ‘We all know we happen to be in the news at the moment, and of course we appreciate that.
But just from both of us, the whole team here, the crew, the guys downstairs, we love making this show for all of you.’

Calls have been made for This Morning to be axed, including from TV executive Dianne Nelmes, who was among the team who set up the flagship series.

Dianne said the show is ‘tired’ and producers should let This Morning ‘go with dignity,’ before adding that she doesn’t want her opinion to mean a ‘hammer blow’ to those currently working on the show.
