Ant McPartlin takes an epic tumble within minutes of first...
The 2023 Britain’s Got Talent live semi-finals got off to a pretty hilarious start, as Ant McPartlin hit the deck (deck/Dec, get it?)
After judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, and Bruno Tonioli entered the studio in a truly grand musical number to kick off the live shows, there was a special cameo from some BGT legends.
Dance troupe Diversity – who won in 2009 – strutted out to cheers from the audience and performed a very cool street dance number to get the week started in style.
However, as Ant tried to join in on the fun, it seems he got a little too excited.
As a result… he ended up flat on his bum.

The camera cut to a wide shot just as the slip happened, but it was clear he hit the stage very hard!
Luckily, the Geordie star took it on the chin and laughed off the blunder, telling co-host Declan Donnelly: ‘I just wet myself and farted at the same time!’
As the audience erupted into laughter, Dec added: ‘I can confirm, he did fart!’
Diversity star Ashley Banjo was also on hand to hold Ant steady as he recovered.
Ant then tried to brush off his embarrassing moment, but the panel wasn’t willing to move on so quickly.
Alesha joked that she wished she could rewind the moment and watch it on repeat (which we shall be doing).
Then Amanda asked if Ant’s coccyx is ok, to which he said: ‘I’ll tell you later.’
Simon was also in stitches, as he quipped: ‘That was the best line ever to open a show, “I’ve just wet myself and farted at the same time”.’The judges were in stitches! (Picture: ITV)
Ant then joked about it being right up Simon’s street in terms of his sense of humour.
The Saturday Night Takeaway presenter proceeded to joke about his epic tumble throughout the show.
After child stars United 2 Dance completed their performance to a roaring reception and glowing praise from the panel, Ant quipped: ‘They didn’t fall over! They were steady on their feet!’
His co-host wasn’t going to let it slide either as, after the ad break, Dec replayed the clip in slow motion and close-up.
That’s what friends are for, right?
