Maisie Smith has slammed concerns over the 13-year age gap with her musician boyfriend Max George as the loved-up couple prepared to live together.
The former EastEnders actress said she was a ‘consenting 21-year-old woman’ and dismissed concern over The Wanted singer’s age, 34.
She admitted the pair didn’t notice the years between them as they regularly kept fans on social media in the loop by uploading plenty of cosy snaps together.
Revealing she was packing her things and leaving Essex for Max’s home in Manchester, the star explained they were excited to be sharing a home soon.
Maisie addressed their topical age gap with The Sun on Sunday: ‘If it wasn’t that, it would be something else.
‘People don’t understand what goes on behind closed doors in a relationship and I think they also forget that I’m a consenting 21-year-old woman who’s actually been working longer than Max!

Maisie revealed her boyfriend Max juggled his schedule with her hectic touring and made plenty of effort to visit her while she was on the road.
