The uprooted and snapped trees were cleared up using a horse logging team and the scale of storm damage means that only now are the woods open for replanting with new native trees like Scots Pine, Oak and Hazel.

They need people to help plant these trees at Gauchhill Wood (Kintore), Meadows Plantings Wood (Huntly) and Cleanhill Wood (Aberchirder), guided by our Countryside Rangers and Greenspace Officers.
