Rory Culkin’s full-frontal nude scene, involving a fruit bowl, was not a work of fiction but actually lifted directly from Donald Glover’s own dating experiences.
The Childish Gambino star and all-around creative polymath, 39, is behind the Amazon Prime series, which follows Dre (Dominque Fishback) embarking on a killing spree in the name of super fandom.
The opening episode of the thriller, also created by Janine Nabers, sees the moment Dre loses her virginity after encountering a fellow clubber Marcus (Culkin) at a bar.
Cutting to the morning after, the following scene sees a completely naked Marcus approach Dre’s bedside while pressing a bowl of strawberries, intended as breakfast, against his penis.
Fans had confessed they were unable to look at strawberries the same way after witnessing the bizarre sequence, with one writing: ‘What the hell is going on here on this day.’
But it turns out a version of the events actually happened in Atlanta star Donald’s real life.

Rory’s scene isn’t the only one in Swarm to have made fans gasp, with Chloe Bailey and Damson Idris’s graphic sex scene branded ‘completely unnecessary.’
The moment in question sees Dre watch her sister Marissa (Bailey) and her boyfriend having sex from the open door, and when Khalid (Idris) notices she is watching he smiles and nods at her without stopping.
