Rhe Queen’s funeral and the Platinum Jubilee celebrations are competing against each other in this year’s Bafta TV Awards 2023.

There is also a nomination for ITV in the emerging talent: factual category where director Jason Osbourne is recognised for Our Jubilee on ITV1, in which black Britons told personal stories of the Queen’s Jubilee years.
This Is Going to Hurt and The Responder are leading this year’s Bafta nods, with each drama receiving six nominations each.

Meanwhile, Bad Sisters, The Crown, The English and Slow Horses have received five nods, while Daisy May Cooper’s Am I Being Unreasonable? and Big Boys have four.
The likes of Ben Whishaw and Martin Freeman are nominated for leading actor, alongside Peaky Blinders’ Cillian Murphy, while Billie Piper and Imelda Staunton are amongst those for leading actress, for I Hate Suzie Too and The Crown respectively.
