Paris Hilton still ‘loves’ Pink despite singer’s mocking of...
Paris Hilton admitted she was still a fan of singer Pink despite the star mocking her leaked sex tape in the early 2000s.
The hotel heiress, 42, was faced with a public scandal when an intimate video she filmed with her ex-boyfriend Rick Salomon was released without her consent.
In 2006, the socialite was the topic of Pink’s music video for her hit single Stupid Girls during which she was harshly parodied by the pop star.
Almost 20 years on, Paris opened up about the effect the public consumption of her private video had on her as well as what it felt like to be ridiculed by other high profile women.
She shared her thoughts on Hot Nights with Abbie Chatfield and said: ‘’I love Pink.
‘I think that her music is amazing. She has always been kind to me. But, you know, that video did hurt my feelings, the music video. The star admitted her feelings were hurt after the video (Picture: Shutterstock) Pink mocked Paris in her music video when she donned a blonde wig and replicated her sex tape (Picture: WireImage)
‘But that was so long ago that I’m just happy that times are finally changing and people are seeing how women shouldn’t be treated that way, the way I was treated by the media’.
During the chat she also noted that it was ‘definitely time for change’ in response to questions over the tape that was filmed when she was just 19 by her partner who was 13 years her senior.Paris revealed her ‘bimbo’ act was false in her new book (Picture: Getty Images)
In the music video, the Just Give Me A Reason singer acted out common stereotypes of ‘stupid’ women donning various outfits to play the parts.
During the footage, she was filmed in night vision mode wearing a blonde wig and interacting with a half-naked man who lingered in the background of the shot.
Fans could clearly interpret the scenes as a reference to Paris’s tape as the original was also partly filmed in night vision mode.

Despite receiving backlash, the tape sky-rocketed the personality to global stardom and landed her a spot on a revolutionary reality show called The Simple Life alongside Nicole Richie.
For the series, she adopted a ‘bimbo rich girl’ persona that she has since rubbished as fake in her new book titled Paris the Memoir.
